Westward ho!

Westward ho!
Seventeen days, 2,800 miles and 7 states later we are home.
Family members, Land Institute prairie festival, new home hunting and sight-seeing, we packed it in.  Our 10 year old car did a great job except for the first 3 minutes.  We were starting 5 hours later than we had hoped.  It was noon and we hopped into the car with a sigh of relief.  Ready for the road!  Kansas or bust!

Phil turned the key - nothing!  So many thoughts raced through my head, cancellations, disappointments, airline tickets... How would we be able to accomplish everything we had hoped to do?

Thank goodness our pick up truck was right in line with the car and jumped the battery.  We had drained it as we loaded the van.  After another sigh of relief we were on our way!  Praying all the way that it wouldn't happen again.

  1. Sounds like a great trip, but a nervous start. So did you find a new home?
