Waving down the long hall....

Today I saw a friend at the other end of the hall
She was back lit so I couldn't see her at all
All of a sudden she raised her arm in a great big wave
I returned the gesture hoping 
she would realize a visit would be better, 
but we must wait until later.

Was it the perfect wave?
      "Refined, yet friendly, with a bright, sincere smile"
             No.

Was it the parade wave?
       "Elbow, elbow, wrist, wrist, touch your pearls and blow a kiss"
                        No.

Was is a royal wave?
       "Holding your hand up in the air as if opening a jam jar"
                                   No. 

                 It was a great big hi, how are you?
                      Arms waving, smiles from ear to ear!
